Let's Encrypt is fast becoming a free, quick and easy way to secure your website, we are now offering it as part of all of our hosting packages (at no cost). As Google Chrome will soon begin showing users sites that are encrypted and those that are not, very clearly, the move to encryption of all websites is fast becoming standard practice.
We do suggest that you go the extra mile and opt for a 'paid for' certificate for e-commerce and data sensitive websites, as they come with additional safe guards and levels of insurance for your customers. Both options are available when configuring products.
